Requirements

What we're looking for

University degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Public Works Engineering or equivalent training related to the position.
3-5 years of experience in building structures calculation, especially in residential, hospital, educational building projects or other similar typologies.
Experience in using structural calculation programs, such as CYPECAD, Robot Structural or CYPE 3D.
Knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.

Nice to have

Additional experience in civil works structure calculation, wind platforms, photovoltaic structures or other structural typologies.
Proficiency in calculation programs such as SAP2000, SOFiSTiK, Cubus (Statik, Cedrus, Fagus) or other similar tools.
English level B2-C1.
Specialized Master's degree in Building Structures.

The role

At SOCOTEC Spain, we are looking to hire a Building Structures Calculation Technician for our Structures team in Madrid.

We are looking for a technical profile with 3-5 years of experience in building structures calculation, who has participated in residential, hospital, educational building projects or other building typologies.

The selected person will participate in the development and calculation of structures, collaborating with the technical team in the definition of structural solutions and the development of projects.

What you'll do

Perform the calculation and dimensioning of building structures.
Participate in residential, hospital, educational building projects and other building typologies.
Develop calculation models and analyze the structural behavior of the proposed solutions.
Prepare and review technical documentation related to structural projects.
Use structural calculation and modeling tools for project development.
Collaborate with the technical team in the definition and optimization of structural solutions.
Coordinate with other disciplines involved in the development of the projects.
