The role

We are looking for a profile with proficiency in the language of one of the regions of Eastern Europe paying special attention to Romanian, Georgian, or Russian.
Working in prison according to the following objectives:
- Promote the recognition of cultural diversity
- Prevent and detect cultural conflicts to improve the social climate
- Mediate cultural conflicts that affect coexistence
- Facilitate communication between professionals and persons deprived of liberty
- Coordinate with professionals and volunteers inside and outside the CP
- Provide cultural advice to professionals in the design of educational programs
- Welcome and accompany the internal population, paying special attention to those who may suffer situations of racial and cultural discrimination

What you'll do

  • Intervention in the reception process at the penitentiary center.

  • Intercultural mediation service (advice on CP functioning, understanding personal situations, working on skills for good coexistence).

  • Sociocultural programming and animation.

  • Training and awareness actions in peace culture, anti-racism, effective communication, and cultural diversity.

How you'll work

  • 3-month contract, renewable.

  • Working day: 20h/week.

Requirements

What we're looking for

  • Completed Higher Degree in Social Integration and/or other Vocational Training (CFGS) in the social area.

  • Proficiency in the language of one of the regions of Eastern Europe, paying special attention to Romanian, Georgian, or Russian.

  • Possession of a driver's license to reach the service.

  • Proactivity, communication skills and teamwork.

Nice to have

  • Experience in working with foreign and/or culturally diverse populations, mainly young populations deprived of liberty, is valued.

  • Holding a disability certificate of 33% or more will be valued.
