The role
We are looking for a Technical Lead Java Backend to join strategic projects within BBVA CIB, participating in the design, evolution, and technical leadership of critical backend platforms in high-performance and distributed architecture environments.
The selected person will combine technical and coordination functions, acting as a point of reference within the development team, participating in both technical decision-making as well as backend development and the monitoring of best practices.
They will work in Agile environments, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and participating in projects based on microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures.

Technical leadership and coordination of backend developers
Design and evolution of modern Java architectures based on Spring Boot

Optimization of performance, scalability, and stability of critical applications
Participation in troubleshooting and resolution of complex incidents
Coordination with architecture, business, and operations teams
Implementation of best practices in development, testing, and CI/CD
Participation in technological modernization and continuous improvement processes
