Electrical Switchgear Protection and Control Design Engineer

An industrial sector company is looking to bring on board a design engineer for electrical protection and control switchgear for its substation business unit, with demonstrable experience, to work at our facilities in Bilbao.

• Liaising with the client for functional definition and scope
• Preparation and definition of developed single-line diagrams for Protection, Control, Metering and Auxiliary Services.
• Design of developed schematics, switchgear front panels, bill of materials and interconnection diagrams for the manufacture of PCM and AS switchgear.
• Functional study and definition of wiring diagrams for protection relays, mainly in the field of electrical substations.
• Coordination and supervision of the work of draftspersons specialised in Protection, Control, Metering and Auxiliary Services.
• Technical support to the electrical switchgear manufacturing workshop and site managers
• Calculation of AC auxiliary services consumption and DC battery banks, as well as cable schedules
• Preparation of engineering bids within the Protection and Control discipline.

• Proficiency in electrical design tools such as EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, SEE Electrical or similar.
• Knowledge of regulations applicable to electrical substations and control switchgear.
• Experience with protection relays from manufacturers such as Siemens, GE, Schneider, ABB, SEL, Ingeteam or others.
• Intermediate/advanced level of technical English.

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Industrial Engineering or similar.
• Solid knowledge of the electrical power system.
• Experience in the design of Protection, Control, Metering and Auxiliary Services systems, as well as protection relay functionalities.
• Knowledge of developed single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, interconnections, bill of materials and manufacturing documentation, and the AC and DC auxiliary services system in substations.
• Ability to coordinate and review the work of electrical draftspersons.

Previous experience in one or more of the following areas will be especially valued:

• Experience in electrical switchgear manufacturing companies.
• Protection and Control systems engineering departments.
• Substation protection and control commissioning departments.

Empresa del sector industrial busca incorporar un/a ingeniero/a de diseño de cuadros eléctricos de protección y control para su unidad de negocio de subestaciones con experiencia demostrable para trabajar en nuestras instalaciones de Bilbao.

• Interlocución con el cliente para definición funcional y alcance
• Realización y definición de unifilares desarrollados de Protección, Control, Medida y Servicios Auxiliares.
• Diseño de esquemas desarrollados, frentes de cuadros, listas de materiales y esquemas de interconexión para la fabricación de cuadros de PCyM y SSAA.
• Estudio funcional y definición de diagramas de conexionado de relés de protección, principalmente en el ámbito de subestaciones eléctricas.
• Coordinación y supervisión del trabajo de proyectistas especialistas en Protección, Control, Medida y Servicios Auxiliares.
• Soporte técnico al taller de fabricación de cuadros eléctricos y jefes de Obra
• Cálculo de consumos de servicios auxiliares de corriente alterna y baterías de corriente continua y listados de cables
• Preparación de ofertas de ingeniería dentro de la disciplina de Protección y Control.

• Manejo de herramientas de diseño eléctrico como EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, SEE Electrical o similares.
• Conocimiento de normativa aplicable a subestaciones eléctricas y cuadros de control.
• Experiencia con relés de protección de fabricantes como Siemens, GE, Schneider, ABB, SEL, Ingeteam u otros.
• Nivel medio/alto de inglés técnico.

• Sólidos conocimientos del sistema eléctrico de potencia.

Se valorará especialmente experiencia previa en uno o varios de los siguientes ámbitos:

• Experiencia en empresas fabricantes de cuadros eléctricos.
• Departamentos de ingeniería de sistemas de Protección y Control.
• Departamentos de puesta en marcha de protecciones y control de subestaciones.
• Empresas de ingeniería, construcción o mantenimiento de subestaciones eléctricas.
• Diseño de cuadros de PCyM, SSAA, control, medida y protecciones.
