About the role

Network technician to perform the following functions: these are field technicians who must have knowledge focused on hardware and cabling installation – fiber at the airport.

What you'll do

The tasks, in general, will involve handling the passive installation, carrying out everything necessary to ensure that the condition of the network installations is correct, along with the necessary evolutionary maintenance and performing small expansion installations.

Tasks:  

  • Maintenance and evolution of the passive network.
  • Inspection of the administration subsystem, vertical and horizontal cabling subsystem, and user subsystem.
  • Cleaning and conditioning of the installation.
  • Cleaning and preservation of the elements present in the cabling centers.
  • Cabling checks using network analyzers.
  • Checking and repairing user outlets.
  • Repair and/or replacement of fiber connectors.
  • Repair and/or replacement of damaged cabling.
  • Investigation, location, and resolution of faults related to the Multiservice Network cabling and the cabling management system, both active and passive.
  • User patch cord connectors.
  • Equipment connectors, both on electronics ports and user outlets.
  • Cable runs from electronics equipment to new servers in the data center.
  • Installation of fiber optic runs within the data center.
  • Integration and configuration of any new equipment added to the local area network system.
  • Production of specialized cabling for the local area network.
