About the role

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician for the agri-food sector, whose main mission will be to ensure the proper operation of machinery, facilities and production equipment, guaranteeing process continuity, the safety of people and the quality of the final product.

What you'll do

The selected candidate will be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of industrial machinery, including mills, mixers, pellet mills, conveyors and other auxiliary equipment. Their duties will include detecting, diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults, as well as repairing or replacing components such as bearings, belts, motors and gearboxes. They will also adjust and calibrate equipment to ensure efficient and continuous production.

In addition, they will provide technical support to the production area, verifying the correct start-up and shutdown of lines, minimising unplanned stoppages and actively collaborating in process improvement and equipment optimisation. In terms of health and safety, they will be responsible for complying with and applying industrial safety regulations, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and for ensuring order and cleanliness in technical areas, paying special attention to the prevention of fire and dust explosion risks inherent to the production environment.

They will also be responsible for controlling and documenting the work carried out, recording detected faults, communicating the need for spare parts and tools, as well as supporting technical inspections and internal or external audits. They will also carry out maintenance tasks on general facilities, such as electrical systems, lighting, compressed air and water, as well as minor welding, plumbing and structural repairs.

Finally, they will ensure compliance with health, quality and food safety regulations, ensuring that equipment does not affect feed quality or create contamination risks, in accordance with applicable standards.
