Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a talented, proactive person with a sense of humor to join our team as a Handyman at our amazing, one-of-a-kind hotel in Barcelona.

Alongside the Asset Manager and the Hotel Manager, you will be involved in everything related to maintenance and technical aspects, both inside and outside the hotel. You are a hands-on person, and as such, you will be the first point of contact for guests and colleagues when an incident or breakdown is reported. Furthermore, you believe it is essential to enjoy your work and have fun while doing it.

Working as a Handyman means no two days are the same. Some days you will carry out inspections and repairs around the hotel; other days you will be in charge of adjusting and coordinating various technical activities and collaborating with internal and external parties involved.

• Being the first point of contact for maintenance issues for guests and colleagues.
• Carrying out all kinds of repairs, both inside and outside the hotel.
• Performing maintenance inspections and checks.
• Coordinating with internal and external parties on technical and maintenance matters.

Together with the Asset Manager and Hotel Manager you are involved in everything that has to do with maintenance and technics, both inside and outside of the hotel. You are super handy and therefore the first point of contact for guests and team members when an issue or malfunction is reported. You find it super important to have a lot of fun during your work! Working as a Handyman not one day is the same. Some days you are doing checks and conducting reparations in the hotel, the next day you are working on fine tuning a range of technical activities and liaising with internal and external parties involved.

• You have a level of education and reasoning equivalent to LBO/MBO, as well as relevant training in maintenance or construction (you hold the VCA-basis certification).
• You have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role (experience in a hotel environment is a plus).
• You are a very sociable, guest-oriented person; you enjoy interacting with people from different backgrounds and want to work in an informal yet ambitious environment.
• You have a good command of Spanish and can manage adequately in English.
• You like to have fun with your colleagues and guests!
• You have legal permission to work in Spain.

Estamos buscando a una persona con talento, iniciativa y sentido del humor para unirse a nuestro equipo como Handyman en nuestro increíble hotel diferente en Barcelona.

Junto con el Asset Manager y el Hotel Manager, participarás en todo lo relacionado con el mantenimiento y los aspectos técnicos, tanto dentro como fuera del hotel. Eres una persona muy manitas y, por ello, serás el primer punto de contacto para huéspedes y compañeros cuando se reporte una incidencia o avería. Además, consideras fundamental disfrutar y pasarlo bien en el trabajo.

Trabajar como Handyman significa que no habrá dos días iguales. Algunos días realizarás inspecciones y reparaciones en el hotel; otros, te encargarás de ajustar y coordinar distintas actividades técnicas y de colaborar con las partes internas y externas involucradas.

• Ser el primer punto de contacto para incidencias de mantenimiento de huéspedes y compañeros.
• Realizar todo tipo de reparaciones dentro y fuera del hotel.
• Llevar a cabo inspecciones y revisiones de mantenimiento.
• Coordinarte con partes internas y externas en temas técnicos y de mantenimiento.

• Tienes al menos 2 años de experiencia en un puesto similar (se valorará experiencia en entorno hotelero).
• Eres una persona muy sociable y orientada al cliente; te gusta interactuar con personas de diferentes orígenes y quieres trabajar en un entorno informal pero ambicioso.
• Tienes buen dominio del español y puedes desenvolverte adecuadamente en inglés.
• ¡Te gusta divertirte con tus compañeros y con los huéspedes!
• Tienes permiso legal para trabajar en España.

• You have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role (hotel environment preferred)
• You are very social and have a guest-oriented way of thinking; you like interacting with people from different backgrounds and want to work in an informal yet ambitious environment
• You have good command of Spanish and you can at least manage accordingly in English
• You like to have fun with your colleagues and the guests!
• You are legally allowed to work in Spain
