• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position in hotels.
• Vocational training/Higher degree in electrical electrotechnics.
• Vocational training in industrial refrigeration.
• Legionella control certificate.
• Knowledge of audiovisual setups.
• Knowledge in all maintenance areas of a hotel.
• Knowledge of GMAO platforms.
• Good knowledge of English will be valued.
• Schedule flexibility to work rotating shifts and weekends.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join the team at The Hoxton, Poblenou!

The Hoxton, Poblenou is located in Barcelona and is our 11th Hoxton hotel. The hotel has 240 rooms of various sizes, a large Four Corners restaurant with The Slice shop and La Bodega, the Tope taqueria on the rooftop with a pool, a huge event space in the basement, and The Apartment (our exclusive meetings and events concept).

Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will attend to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues within the hotel facilities to ensure their smooth operation.

Job description

What you will do...

• Attend to the daily work orders reported in the hotel (incidents, complaints, requests from customers and other departments) through GMAO.
• Complete mandatory logs on a daily basis.
• Perform preventive maintenance of hotel rooms and facilities.
• Repairs to kitchen equipment.
• Check the proper functioning of the facilities.
• Perform general maintenance and inventory tasks related to engineering.
• Preventive and corrective maintenance of facilities regarding electricity, air conditioning, carpentry, locksmithing, painting, etc.
• Control and prevention of Legionella, safety and evacuation regulations (in case of fire, accident, etc.)
