About the role

We want to incorporate an Academic Coordinator for the University Master's Degree in Family Law. into the Faculty of Law.

In accordance with the Academic Directorate, and with the support of different cross-departmental areas of the University, the Academic Coordinator will contribute to the proper functioning and continuous improvement of the Faculty regarding academic management and coordination of processes affecting students and professors:

What you'll do

  • Promote the growth of the degree program with the cross-departmental areas.

  • Promote the institutional development of the degree program through the signing of alliances, agreements, representation at conferences and other dissemination events in the field of security and terrorism.

  • Implement common criteria regarding academic organization and teaching planning.

  • Compliance with the degree program's growth objectives.

  • Support in the selection process, talent search, and recruitment of candidates.

  • Coordinate the internal organization of the degree program according to the Faculty's guidelines.

  • Coordinate the processes for updating the Faculty's information system.

  • Coordinate student support processes.

  • Maintain regular communication with students, inform them, and incorporate their proposals.

  • Ensure the adaptation of teaching and services to the needs of the field of security, terrorism prevention, and radicalization.

  • Hold periodic faculty meetings with the teaching staff of the degree program.

  • Address issues raised by students and the teaching faculty.

  • Foster networking among students.

  • Participate in the design of the annual improvement plans for the degree program and drive their implementation.

  • Receive and channel improvement proposals.

  • Coordinate the analysis of student satisfaction.

  • Ensure the continuous improvement and quality of the degree program following the University's academic excellence requirements and the processes related to ANECA.

What we're looking for

Minimum requirements

  • PhD in Law.

  • Accredited specialization in Family Law, demonstrable through teaching/research experience and/or professional practice in the field.

  • University teaching experience in related subjects and the ability to coordinate teaching highly oriented toward real cases.

  • Experience in university academic management and knowledge of quality, verification, monitoring, and university degree accreditation processes at ANECA.

  • Ability to organize, plan, and coordinate teaching teams.

  • Ability to work and organize with cross-departmental areas.

  • Strong orientation toward quality and continuous improvement in academic management.

  • International professional network and participation in forums/activities with institutions in the sector.

  • Residence in Spain.
