About the role

We want to incorporate into the Faculty of Law an Academic Coordinator for the Master's in International Relations and Global Governance.

In accordance with the Academic Management, and with the support of the different cross-departmental areas of the University, the Academic Coordinator will contribute to the proper functioning and continuous improvement of the Faculty in relation to academic management and coordination of the processes affecting students and professors:

  • Promote the growth of the degree with the cross-departmental areas.

  • Promote the institutional development of the degree through the signing of alliances, agreements, representation at conferences and other dissemination events.

  • Implement common criteria in academic organization and teaching planning.

  • Compliance with the degree's growth objectives.

  • Support in the selection process, talent search and recruitment of candidates.

  • Coordinate the internal organization of the degree in accordance with the Faculty's guidelines.

  • Coordinate the processes for updating the Faculty's information system.

  • Coordinate student support processes.

  • Maintain regular communication with students, inform them and incorporate their proposals.

  • Ensure that teaching and services are adapted to needs.

  • Hold regular faculty meetings with the teaching staff of the degree.

  • Address issues raised by students and the teaching faculty.

  • Encourage networking among students.

  • Participate in the design of the annual improvement plans for the degree and drive their implementation.

  • Receive and channel improvement proposals.

  • Coordinate the analysis of student satisfaction.

Minimum requirements

  • PhD in International Relations or Political Science.

  • Specialist in International Relations or Political Science, demonstrable through teaching/research experience and/or professional practice in the field.

  • Practical professional experience in any of the master's areas: international analyst, geopolitics, security, international organizations, development cooperation, international trade, international politics, human rights, international law, etc.

  • University teaching experience in related subjects and the ability to coordinate teaching that is highly oriented toward real cases.

  • Experience in academic management (coordination of degrees, quality committees, teaching planning, faculty coordination) will be valued.

  • International professional network and participation in forums/activities with institutions in the sector.

  • Residence in Spain.
