What will your day-to-day look like?

From the Engineering Department of Aquatec at Veolia Spain we are looking to bring on board a Hydraulics Specialist with experience in modeling sanitation and water supply networks for large operations and in hydraulic projects at our offices in Barcelona. 

Your main duties will focus on:

What you'll do

  • Interpreting and processing GIS databases of hydraulic networks
  • Hydraulic modeling with specific software 
  • Determining the hydraulic performance of the network under different scenarios
  • Diagnosing hydraulic deficiencies in infrastructure and proposing actions
  • Defining the action plan and prioritizing actions
  • Drafting technical support documents
  • Coordinating with infrastructure operators and public administrations
  • Coordinating and collaborating with the technical team and the GIS department 
  • Drafting, managing, and monitoring projects
  • Preparing technical documentation (reports, annexes, budgets, specifications) and administrative documentation.
  • Managing project costs, timelines, and resources.
  • Strategic support for bid preparation

What do we expect from you?

  • Industrial or Civil Engineer, or Master's degree in Civil Engineering (Roads, Canals, and Ports).  
  • Extensive hydraulic knowledge
  • More than 5 years of professional experience in hydraulic modeling
  • Experience with common commercial software such as Infoworks, SewerGEMS, Iber, and SWMM will be valued
  • GIS proficiency
  • Teamwork skills
