The role

What you'll do

Veolia Servicios Lecam, in its Wastewater division, is looking to hire an Electromechanical Technician for the technical service, mainly covering the regions of Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha and Madrid.

The selected candidate will carry out their activity on an itinerant basis among the various wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) in the assigned area, serving as the electromechanical technical reference at each of them.

Their main functions will be:

  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of pumping equipment and hydraulic systems in WWTP plants: inspection, diagnosis, disassembly, repair, and commissioning of water pumps (centrifugal, submersible, dosing, screw, etc.), verifying performance, electrical consumption, and flow rates.
  • Maintain in correct condition the process equipment specific to a wastewater treatment plant: electric motors, gearboxes, agitators, blowers, decanters, dehydrators, screens, motorized gates, and drive systems, ensuring the operational continuity of the facility.
  • Maintain and inspect electrical panels, automation, and control systems, including the identification and resolution of faults in frequency inverters, starters, PLCs, protection relays, and SCADA systems, guaranteeing the electrical safety of the facilities and the correct functioning of the plant automation.
  • Maintain and calibrate process instrumentation and measurement equipment common in WWTP plants: electromagnetic flowmeters, level sensors, dissolved oxygen analyzers, turbidimeters, pH and redox probes, pressure switches, and pressure transmitters, ensuring the reliability of measurements for the correct operation and control of the purification process.
  • Keep the CMMS system updated, completing work reports with the details of the interventions performed, materials used, execution times, and equipment status, as well as the control and monitoring of the critical spare parts inventory in each facility.
  • Attend to and resolve alarms, breakdowns, and technical incidents in the various facilities in the area, performing on-site diagnosis, planning the necessary interventions, and managing the required spare parts to minimize the impact on the plant operation.
