The role

The IT Project Manager is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of IT projects and programs within the assigned value stream, from initiation through to closure and benefits handover. The role turns the initiatives shaped by the IT Digital Enablement Leads and Partners into structured, well-governed deliveries, managing scope, plan, budget, risks, dependencies and third-party partners, and support the delivery approach - predictive, iterative or hybrid - to the nature of each initiative. Working on commercial and customer-facing value streams, the position combines strong delivery discipline with an understanding of how technology supports sales, order management and distribution operations. This position reports to the IT PMO Lead and works closely with IT Digital Enablement, and IT Application and Development teams and Global IT teams.

What you'll do

•Lead the end-to-end delivery of assigned IT projects and programs, defining scope, deliverables, schedule, resource needs and acceptance criteria, and driving execution to agreed quality, time and cost targets.

•Support the delivery approach that best fits each initiative - predictive/phase-gate, iterative/agile or hybrid - tailoring planning, ceremonies, artifacts and release cadence accordingly, and coaching teams and stakeholders on the chosen way of working.

•Own the project budget and cost control, including estimation, business case support, forecasting, tracking of actuals versus plan, capitalization considerations and timely escalation of financial deviations.

•Manage vendors, system integrators and implementation partners across the delivery lifecycle, from scoping and statement of work definition to onboarding, performance monitoring, acceptance of deliverables and contract-related escalations, in coordination with Procurement and Legal.

•Manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and change requests proactively, maintaining a clear line of sight across interdependent initiatives and driving decisions to closure with the relevant governance bodies.

•Provide transparent, consistent status reporting and stakeholder communication at project, program and steering committee level, ensuring a single reliable view of progress, health and outcomes.

•Partner with IT Digital Enablement, and Global IT teams to ensure that business requirements are delivered, adopted and transitioned to run, including change management, user readiness, training support, hypercare and benefits tracking.

•Contribute to the definition, adoption and continuous improvement of IT PMO standards, methodologies, templates, tooling and governance, and support portfolio-level reporting and resource planning.

•Ensure delivery is executed in compliance with global IT policies, quality, validation, data privacy and information security requirements applicable to a regulated environment.

Requirements

What we're looking for

•Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline required.

•Between 5 and 10 years of experience within Information Technology, with a minimum of 3 years managing IT projects or programs end to end, required.

•Experience managing project budgets and external vendors or system integrators required.

•Strong planning, organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to run several initiatives in parallel.

•Sound judgement on when to apply structure and when to adapt, selecting the right level of process for the size, risk and pace of each initiative.

•Effective stakeholder management and ability to build trusted relationships with business, IT and external partners.

•Strong communication skills, written and verbal, including the ability to explain technology concepts to non-technical audiences and to report credibly to senior leadership.

•Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams without direct hierarchical authority.

•Negotiation and conflict resolution skills, including in vendor and scope discussions.

•Solid understanding of business processes within the value stream and of how technology supports commercial and operational performance.

•Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, reliability and continuous improvement.

•Comfortable operating in ambiguity, managing competing priorities and driving decisions to closure.

•Solid financial acumen applied to project estimation, forecasting and cost control.

Nice to have

•Demonstrated experience delivering initiatives under both predictive/phase-gate and iterative/agile ways of working, including hybrid delivery models, preferred.

•Experience delivering technology initiatives for commercial value streams - such as sales, CRM, order-to-cash, pricing, customer service, channel and distributor management, logistics or distribution operations - preferred.

•Understanding of IT in regulated environments such as healthcare, in vitro diagnostics, pharmaceutical or medical device industries preferred.

•Experience working in matrix, global organizations preferred.

•Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, Professional Scrum Master, SAFe or equivalent) are valued but not a requirement.

•Working knowledge of enterprise project and portfolio management tooling and collaboration platforms preferred.

Languages
