About the role

As part of YEGO's legal and public affairs team, you will be responsible, in Spain, for supporting our company in managing all legal, public, and institutional relations issues arising from its growth in a sector marked by innovation and regulatory initiatives.

By participating in the monitoring and development of our relationships with the bodies and authorities that influence the management and regulation of our sector, you will be in charge of contacting and exchanging with the different urban mobility stakeholders in Spain, especially with the City Councils of the cities we work with or want to work with, to present and/or inform them about our activity and project, submitting the relevant written documents, reports, or presentations, and ensuring that we comply with any regulatory requirements that may be established.

You will also participate in all regulatory initiatives or collaborative reflection projects on the sector, representing YEGO's interests, while keeping our teams informed, relying on the rest of the internal legal and public affairs team and/or on the external agencies we may use.

You will report to the Head of Legal and Strategy.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain close relationships with the main stakeholders and authorities in the sector (public administrations, industry associations, organizations, etc.) at local and national level, to keep our team informed about the concerns, needs, and initiatives of these groups regarding our activity, and in turn convey relevant information to these groups so that they know, understand, and support the YEGO project;
  • Participate in and, as far as possible, influence the sector's regulatory initiatives, representing the values and interests of our project, and those of the urban and sustainable mobility sector as a whole,
  • Ensure comprehensive monitoring of the sector's current affairs in terms of regulation and public tenders, at local and national level,
  • Draft and prepare the written documents, reports, and presentations that are relevant to present YEGO's activity to any private or public body, and in particular to City Councils,
  • File appeals and/or allegations that comply with the applicable requirements of Spanish administrative law, in order to provide input on legal texts or decisions by authorities that have an impact on YEGO and its activity,
  • Participate in the preparation of the application files that YEGO must submit in Spain to obtain authorizations for the use of public space or public tenders for the selection of operators,
  • Identify opportunities to increase visibility and protect YEGO's good image before authorities and sector stakeholders.

What we're looking for

  • You have studied law, with a specialization in administrative law
  • You have professional experience in a specialized law firm and/or in the legal department of a public administration,
  • You speak and write Catalan perfectly, in addition to Spanish. Proficiency in French is valued,

About the company & team

We offer all citizens of the cities where we operate a responsible and eco-friendly urban transport service through shared, elegant, and safe scooters, turning everyday commutes into extraordinary experiences.

YEGO was born in 2016, when electric and shared mobility was still in its experimental phase. Today it is a reality, and YEGO operates in 5 Spanish cities (Barcelona, Valencia, Málaga, Seville, and Zaragoza) and in 4 French cities (Paris, Bordeaux, Toulouse, and Nice).

Our experience of more than 9 years, our steady and reasoned growth, our ability to build a community of users, as well as our strong commitments and relationships with public stakeholders and private partners, make YEGO a benchmark in the sector in Europe.

Our goal is to make access to eco-friendly and responsible micromobility easier and to rethink it, in harmony with cities and their inhabitants.

Around this project, we are building a united, dynamic, diverse, inclusive, and committed team, where everyone, regardless of their background, gender, religion, orientation, or age, can thrive and serve our mission of making our cities greener.
