We are looking for an SME Market Underwriter in Alicante, within the East-Balearic Territorial Directorate, to be responsible for the proactive search for business opportunities in the broker market in order to grow the portfolio and achieve the results required by the plan (new business, retention objectives, loss ratio, etc.).

What you'll do

Your responsibilities will be:

Proactively search for new SME underwriting opportunities.
Monthly monitoring and achievement of the plan for your area (portfolio, New Business, loss ratio, retention...)
Monitoring and reviewing the correct execution of underwriting initiatives.
Support underwriting in the renewal process of important accounts within our corporate portfolio.
Detailed evaluation and understanding of broker portfolios to detect growth opportunities for each business intermediary assigned to your panel.
Perform cross-selling with other lines of business to increase product density per client.
Interact with sales teams related to the territory or assigned brokers.
Serve as the main contact for the SME segment for the assigned Alicante and Murcia broker panel.
Create solid networks of brokers related to Business insurance.
Report mediation feedback internally to implement appropriate improvements.
Collaborate with marketing for brokers and energize product launches.
Diagnose and prepare recommendations to solve specific problems for the business unit or the broker.
Research, recommend, and implement solutions based on Risk Management that satisfy broker needs.
