ACCIONA, in its Water business, needs to hire an intern for its Innovation department.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person for the desalination and new technologies area of the innovation department. New processes and various improvements in seawater desalination processes are being evaluated, with the aim of making them more sustainable and efficient.

Work will be carried out to determine their feasibility, optimize operating conditions, and characterize their performance from a technical-economic point of view, at a demonstrative pilot plant level.

What you'll do

  • Participate in the planning and execution of trials at the desalination technologies pilot plant, following established protocols and collaborating in the preparation of equipment, materials, and operating conditions required for each experimental campaign.

  • Carry out sample collection and associated analyses, ensuring proper traceability of results and compliance with the work procedures defined for experimentation.

  • Support the operation, supervision, and basic maintenance of the pilot plant, helping to ensure its proper functioning, the detection of incidents, and the continuity of tests under suitable conditions.

  • Process, organize, and analyze the data obtained, performing a critical interpretation of the results to identify trends, evaluate process performance, and propose possible operational improvements.

  • Collaborate in the preparation of technical reports and presentations, clearly summarizing the activities carried out, the results obtained, and the main conclusions of the work developed.

Key requirements

  • Complete a 6-month internship on a part-time or full-time basis. Start date from September to March
  • Bachelor's degree or official/professional master's degree in chemical or industrial engineering. Knowledge, especially of chemistry and processes.
  • Teamwork skills, initiative, and motivation. Ease in carrying out experimental work in a methodical and orderly manner.
  • Capacity for critical analysis, proposal of improvements, and implementation of them.
  • Advanced level of English (minimum C1).
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office package.
  • Driver's license B1
