Job description
From Adecco we are looking to bring in production operators to carry out the following tasks:
Receiving and unloading the fish, which may arrive in bulk or in crates on trucks.
Feeding the cutting line: an operator uses the forklift to place the crate / container on the tipper and the fish falls onto the conveyor belt, helping it along with a hook.
Cutting: at a fixed station at the band saw, the worker takes the fish coming along the belt and makes the two cuts, first the head and then the belly flap, and each part goes along its corresponding belt. The pieces to be cut weigh between 7 and 12 kg.
Eviscerating: another person, standing next to the conveyor belt, removes the guts and the head.
Racking: once the fish passes through the cold water tank for cleaning, several operators placed along the belt collect the belly flap and the rest of the piece and place them on the corresponding racks, and these are placed on frames / cages. In this way, the first rack to be loaded is about 15 cm from the floor and the last one at a height of 1 m (with the frame / cage reaching a maximum height of 1.2 m). Subsequently, the frames / cages are moved to cold storage rooms or to the cooking area. The pieces to be placed on the racks weigh between 6-9 kg.
Cooking: the frames with the fish racks are first introduced into the bleeding tanks and, subsequently, moved to the cooking tanks. After the fish is cooked, the frames are left in the chilling area to cool down. All these movements of the frames are carried out using the area's hoist. Once the fish is cold, it is taken to the cold room using an electric stacker.
Cleaning of frames and racks: for this, the frames are introduced into the cleaning tanks, using the area's hoist.
Upon finishing these tasks, they are responsible for cleaning the work area and the equipment they have used. To do so, they first collect with brooms and/or squeegees, and then clean/disinfect with products and pressure water. The description of these tasks and their corresponding assessment are included in the section for activity "06. Cleaning of the work area and factory equipment".
