What you'll do

The selected candidate will be responsible for analyzing flexibility and stresses in piping systems, working closely with the Piping, Mechanical, and Structural disciplines to ensure compliance with the project's technical, operational, and regulatory requirements.

  • Perform flexibility and stress analysis on piping systems.

  • Evaluate loads transmitted to equipment, nozzles, and supports, ensuring compliance with established design criteria.

  • Design and validate pipe support systems in coordination with the different disciplines involved.

  • Verify compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations for piping system design.

  • Review layouts, 3D models, and isometrics from the perspective of stress and flexibility analysis.

  • Prepare calculation reports, technical documentation, and associated documentation for the analyses performed.

  • Coordinate closely with the Piping, Mechanical, and Structural teams to ensure the correct integration of technical solutions.

  • Participate in technical and multidisciplinary coordination meetings.

  • Provide technical support throughout the different project phases, including engineering, design, and construction.

  • Participate in the resolution of technical issues and the optimization of solutions related to piping systems.

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience performing stress and flexibility analysis of piping systems in industrial plants.

  • Experience in projects within sectors such as Oil & Gas, petrochemical, energy, or industrial processes.

  • Solid knowledge of flexibility analysis, stresses, loads, and fatigue in piping systems.

  • Knowledge of piping support design and criteria.

  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, isometrics, and technical engineering documentation.

  • Experience working in a coordinated manner with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and decision-making.

  • Proficiency in stress analysis tools such as AutoPIPE and/or CAESAR II.

Nice to have

  • Experience with SmartPlant 3D (SP3D) and Navisworks will be valued.
