Job Description:
An opportunity for a Fighter Pilot Instructor Lead & Subject Matter Expert has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid).
The selected candidate will join the Training Solutions Team, leading the Spanish Trainer program perimeter. The team is dedicated to designing, developing, and delivering state-of-the-art ground training (theoretical instruction and simulators) for military aircrews. The jobholder will reinforce our training division, coordinating instructor teams, establising training needs, managing project deliverables, and applying cutting-edge technologies to ensure safe and efficient flight operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and coordinate the pilot instructor team while overseeing project scope, planning, supplier management, and progress reporting.
Perform ground-based aircrew training, including theoretical instruction and flight simulator training sessions.
Design and develop comprehensive training plans, course content, and technical documentation tailored to operational requirements.
Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and evaluate technical documentation to establish core aircrew training objectives.
Manage subcontracted work packages, supervising supplier performance, technical quality, and approval of training deliverables.
Support multimedia product creation (CBTs, digital courseware) by preparing detailed training data packages and technical support documentation.
SKILLS

Education: Aeronautical Engineering degree, University Degree, or equivalent Military Flight Academy qualification.
Experience: More than 10 years of experience as a Combat Fighter Pilot, with flight experience on Eurofighter (EF) or F-18, and proven Flight Instructor experience.
Soft skills: Strong public speaking and audience management skills, high team and customer orientation, and adaptability.
Languages: Native Spanish and Advanced level English (both written & spoken).
Technical knowledge: Project management and supplier management experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, and familiarity with multimedia training applications.
Valuable / Nice to have: Direct experience in Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and Computer-Based Training (CBT) development.
