What we're looking for

We will love to meet you if you feel passion for retail, fresh produce, and people, and if you have:

●At least 1 year of previous experience as a fishmonger or fishmonger's assistant.
●Training in food handling/food safety.
●Knowledge of the product and types of cuts.
●Basic proficiency in office tools.

The role

What you'll do

As part of the store team and reporting to the Market Manager, your duties will be:

●Receiving daily shipments of merchandise (fish) ensuring quality and freshness upon arrival.
●Handling, cleaning, and cutting fish to guarantee freshness and quality standards.
●Setting up the fish counter so that all varieties are accessible.
●Recommending, advising, and informing customers about product features to ensure an excellent shopping experience.
●Cleaning, organizing, and overseeing fish handling materials and utensils, as well as maintaining facilities (cold rooms and drains).
●Collaborating with the Market Manager in supervising tasks and managing the fish department team.
●Monitoring existing stock, supporting the Market Manager in taking inventory and placing orders.
