About the role

At Argal we are looking for an Environmental Manager to join our plant in Miralcamp, Lleida (Catalonia).

What you'll do

Job Responsibilities

  1. Environmental legal compliance Ensuring compliance with Law 7/2022 (waste). Compliance with Law 21/2013 (if applicable). Management of requirements under Law 16/2002 (IPPC) for affected facilities. Liaison with the Hydrographic Confederation, the Regional Department (Conselleria/Consejería) and the City Council.

  2. Waste management Classification and coding of waste (LER codes). Contracts with authorized waste managers. Chronological file and annual memory. Waste minimization and recovery. Responsibility for the waste storage area. Annual declarations.

  3. Discharges and water Management of the water discharge control plan. Control of discharge parameters (COD, BOD, fats, solids...). Monitoring of the on-site WWTP (EDAR) if it exists. Compliance with the discharge permit.

  4. Atmospheric emissions Management of emission sources (boilers, dryers, furnaces). Periodic measurements by an authorized Control Organization (OCA). PRTR registry if applicable

  5. Consumption and efficiency Monitoring of water, energy and fuel consumption. Improvement proposals (energy efficiency, carbon footprint reduction)

  6. Management systems Implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001. Internal and external audits. Annual objectives, KPIs. Environmental training plan.

  • Schedule: Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Fridays from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
