The role

At Argal we are looking for an Environmental Manager to join our plant in Miralcamp, Lleida (Catalonia).

What you'll do

Environmental legal compliance Ensuring compliance with Law 7/2022 (waste). Compliance with Law 21/2013 (if applicable). Management of requirements under Law 16/2002 (IPPC) in affected facilities. Liaison with the Hydrographic Confederation, the Regional Council (Conselleria/Consejería) and the City Council.
Waste management Classification and coding of waste (LER). Contracts with authorized waste managers. Chronological file and annual report. Waste minimization and valorization. Responsible for waste area. Annual declarations.
Wastewater and water. Water plan control. Control of discharge parameters (COD, BOD, fats, solids...). Monitoring of own WWTP if applicable. Compliance with discharge authorization.
Atmospheric emissions Control of emission sources (boilers, dryers, ovens). Periodic measurements by an authorized control body (OCA). PRTR registry if applicable
Consumption and efficiency Monitoring of water, energy and fuel consumption. Improvement proposals (energy efficiency, carbon footprint reduction)
Management systems Implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001. Internal and external audits. Annual objectives, KPIs. Environmental training plan.
