This role builds on the team mission of developing the marketing and launch capabilities required across the Biopharmaceuticals Business Unit (BBU).,

Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Marketing and Launch Excellence, you will be a visible leader and ambassador for Global Marketing Excellence across AstraZeneca.

You will build strong relationships with global teams, regions and markets to understand evolving business needs and translate them into impactful capability programmes, learning solutions and community initiatives.

You will lead the development of our capability strategy, oversee flagship programmes such as the Commercial Leadership Academy and help shape the future of strategic planning, AI adoption and marketing excellence across the organisation.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strategic thinking with strong relationship-building skills and has a passion for developing people, capabilities and organisational performance.

What you'll do

· Serve as the visible face of Global Marketing Excellence across the BBU.

· Build strong partnerships with global teams, regions and markets to understand capability needs and business priorities.

· Lead the Global Marketing Excellence capability strategy and roadmap.

· Oversee marketer onboarding, capability programmes and learning pathways.

· Lead flagship programmes including the Commercial Leadership Academy.

· Establish and maintain communities, faculty networks and capability champions.

· Support the evolution of strategic planning capabilities and ways of working.

· Accelerate digital fluency and AI adoption across the organisation.

· Measure programme impact and continuously improve the capability portfolio.

· Partner with Launch Excellence, Strategic Planning and Digital Excellence colleagues to deliver an integrated excellence agenda.

Location: Barcelona - Spain (3 days working from the office and 2 days working from home).
