The role

Atida Iberia is the leading online parapharmacy in Spain, with more than 25,000 references and more than 400 suppliers.

We are looking for a Demand Planner who will play a key role in demand forecasting, inventory performance, and product availability across our entire catalog.

The position combines strong analytical skills with practical demand, inventory, and purchasing planning. You will work with existing forecasting, purchasing, and inventory models, using data and business context to detect risks, improve forecast quality, and convert recommendations into concrete purchasing actions.

You will be responsible for monitoring demand and inventory trends, reviewing purchasing proposals, detecting deviations and risks, and driving the necessary corrective actions to maintain the proper balance between product availability, inventory efficiency, and working capital.

You will work in close collaboration with Purchasing, Commercial, Logistics, Finance, and Operations, acting as the analytical link between demand, inventory, and replenishment planning.

What you'll do

  • Review and maintain weekly and monthly demand forecasts based on sales trends, seasonality, commercial activity, and business priorities.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy, analyze significant deviations, and detect unexpected sales anomalies or trends.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to anticipate changes in demand and analyze campaign results to improve future forecasts.
  • Review purchasing proposals generated by existing forecasting and replenishment tools and translate them into concrete purchasing actions.
  • Manage operational exceptions and deviations in purchasing, ensuring that decisions are aligned with inventory objectives, replenishment policies, and business priorities.
  • Monitor key inventory indicators: out-of-stock (OOS), days of inventory (DOI), coverage, turnover, overstock, aged stock, and the performance of new references.
  • Anticipate stockouts and coordinate preventive or corrective actions when availability or inventory deviates from planned levels.
  • Detect potential excess stock before it occurs, quantify its causes, and assess reduction opportunities.
  • Work with the Commercial and Pricing teams to accelerate product outflow and avoid recurring inventory excesses.
  • Provide the Logistics area with inbound volume forecasts, highlighting reception peaks and risks derived from supplier delays, concentrated deliveries, or changes in purchasing.
  • Monitor supplier service levels (fill rate and lead times) and delayed or incomplete deliveries that affect availability or inventory.
  • Use supplier performance data to improve inbound visibility, stock planning, and purchasing proposals.
  • Analyze dashboards and reports regarding demand, inventory, forecast accuracy, and replenishment performance.
  • Analyze the root cause of stockouts, inventory excesses, and forecast deviations, and convert findings into concrete corrective actions.
  • Use automation and artificial intelligence tools to improve analysis, productivity, and decision-making.
  • Participate in improvement initiatives alongside Purchasing, Commercial, Logistics, Finance, and Operations.

Skills

  • A structured and rigorous person, with a strong operational orientation.
  • Proactivity and sense of responsibility: ability to detect problems in a timely manner and drive actions through to resolution.
  • Practical approach, with the ability to convert analysis into applicable operational recommendations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at once and work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to relate to different teams and find cross-functional solutions in high-pressure situations and with limited resources.
