Demand Planner

Experience: Minimum of 2 to 3 years of solid experience in similar roles (demand forecasting, data analytics, applied data science for business).

Education: Completed university studies in Statistics, Mathematics, Biostatistics, Economics, Engineering, or related disciplines. A master's degree in a related field will be highly valued!

Technical Skills (Hard Skills)

Demonstrated experience working with statistical models and machine learning in production environments.

Specific experience in time series forecasting.

Interpersonal Skills (Soft Skills)

Excellent strategic and analytical vision.

Strong results orientation.

Strong communication skills (ability to translate complex data into business language).

Languages: Fluent English (essential for daily work).

Experience with tools such as Power BI and Kinaxis, plus solid programming knowledge, will be considered a great plus.

As a fundamental part of the team, your day-to-day will focus on optimizing and leading statistical forecasting processes:

Modeling and Data Analysis:

Executing the monthly forecast calculation using the most effective models and parameters.

Evaluating different forecasting methods and algorithms, translating their value into actionable business insights.

Defining and applying data cleaning rules for historical data based on insights gathered from the markets.

Establishing rules for detecting historical outliers, reviewing and validating the adjustments proposed by the system.

Selecting the appropriate baseline following departmental guidelines.

Continuous Improvement and Problem Solving:

Performing root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing corrective actions to improve the accuracy of statistical forecasts.

Analyzing the performance of forecasts from previous months to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Conducting forecast reviews by exception, leveraging alerts and segmentation strategies.

Proposing and implementing initiatives to increase forecast accuracy and performance in assigned countries.

Driving improvement in demand segmentation by identifying, prioritizing, and executing key projects.

Identifying and promoting potential improvements within the department and supporting their implementation.

Technical Leadership and Business Interaction:

Influencing executives and senior management on the real benefits of advanced analytics.

Demonstrating a solid understanding of Power BI semantic models (Snowflake sources, linked tables, and underlying logic) with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.

Managing relationships with local and regional Integrated Business Planning (IBP) leaders to:

Gather market intelligence and ensure alignment on key assumptions.

Integrate causal factors and outliers into forecasting models.

Oversee and drive the adoption of automated forecasting processes at a national level.
