Maintenance Planner

Work environment: This position requires presence at our Llinars del Vallès facilities
Salary range: 28,000 - 40,000 EUR gross per year. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market benchmarks. Depending on these factors, the actual offer may be above or below the published range.
Incentive plan: This position is eligible to participate in Ball's annual incentive compensation program.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of experience related to the position in Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, or Process Optimization roles

• A university degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field will be valued
• A Green Belt or Black Belt certification will be valued
• Proficiency in maintenance planning and scheduling systems.
• Ability to monitor and analyze maintenance performance indicators (MTTR, MTBF, backlog, plan compliance, and other KPIs).
• Planning and coordination of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
• Critical review and verification of maintenance documentation and checklists.
• Knowledge of tools defined by BOE for continuous improvement and root cause analysis.
• Inventory management and ensuring the availability of Maintenance and Repair (M&R) spare parts.
• Training and knowledge transfer to support team adherence to operational routines.
• Monitoring and controlling maintenance costs to drive operational efficiency.

The Maintenance Planner ensures optimal reliability, availability, and performance of plant equipment in a continuous operation manufacturing environment through the planning, scheduling, and coordination of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.

This position is aligned with the plant's reliability strategy and with the BOE Maintenance pillar, using data-driven analysis and established tools to identify and resolve equipment issues, improve maintenance processes, and maximize plant efficiency and uptime.

The Maintenance Planner facilitates knowledge transfer, ensures compliance with safety and operational standards, monitors maintenance performance, and provides actionable insights and recommendations that support management decision-making and continuous improvement.

• Plan, schedule, and control preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities, aligned with the plant's reliability strategy.
• Ensure that maintenance plans in the system are accurate and up to date.
• Monitor maintenance performance indicators and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adopt and promote 5S practices to improve the work environment, productivity, and cost efficiency.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure the availability of Maintenance and Repair (M&R) parts to avoid operational delays.
• Participate in maintenance team meetings and review maintenance processes to identify improvement opportunities.
• Plan scheduled shutdowns and changeovers (conversions) to maximize equipment performance and plant production.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with Production, Engineering, Warehouse, and Safety teams to ensure integrated and safe execution.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and internal procedures.
• Manage preventive maintenance (PM) compliance indicators and provide visibility into pending tasks.
• Report to the Maintenance Manager or Engineering Management regarding the effectiveness of maintenance planning.
