Quality Operator

Salary range: 28,000 - 30,000 EUR gross per year. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market benchmarks. Depending on these factors, the actual offer may be above or below the published range.

Incentive plan: This position is eligible to participate in Ball's annual incentive compensation program. This position is subject to shifts.

• The position requires minimum knowledge at the Vocational Training (CFGM) level, although prolonged practical experience - 6 months - may compensate for a lower level of education.
• Electric and manual pallet jack license/diploma.
• Knowledge of the scope of the standards governing the company's integrated management system (if the person occupying the position does not possess such knowledge upon joining, the company will provide the necessary information and training to acquire it): ISO 14001; BRCGS for Food Safety; ISO 9001.
• Basic computer skills for completing the quality database.
• Commitment to the organization: the ability and willingness to orient your own behaviors toward the needs and objectives of the company. An example is flexibility and availability for work peaks, always within current legality.
• Concern for order and quality: continuously control and maintain order and precision in your own work and deliver it with quality to the person who must continue the process.

The Quality Operator is responsible for verifying and ensuring the quality of the production process and product safety, in accordance with the instructions of their supervisor and the procedures established in the Quality and Product Safety Management System. All this in order to achieve the objectives and satisfaction needs set with Customers. Likewise, to respect and comply with the occupational health, safety, and environmental standards established by the company, within the scope corresponding to the job position.

The responsibilities described below represent much more than daily tasks. They are opportunities to support safe operations, maintain quality standards, collaborate with teammates, and contribute to the products and solutions that customers around the world rely on:

• Inspect, verify, and control the quality of the process and product safety during the different manufacturing phases and in the final product (Know, at the start of the shift, the incidents from the previous shift such as: process non-quality, waste, quality incidents, solutions adopted, production completed, and work in progress, as well as deviations relating to product safety; Know the technical specifications of the product; Apply the established procedures and Control Plans) etc.
• Advise personnel from other areas regarding quality standards (Collaborate with the production department on the quality and control of selection processes; Explain and remind, whenever necessary, the technical specifications of the product and the Control Plan; Advise personnel from other areas on defect classification and control methods)
• Maintain records and archives of the documentation for the production process quality analysis and the resulting product safety (Organize and archive: control records of retained products, retention summaries, production records, waste records, and a database for the analysis of the production process quality and the resulting product safety; Complete identification labels for inspection status: product pending inspection and non-conformity sheet: date, line, pallet number, container number, lithography, and reason; Collect records generated on the line for archiving; Archive and maintain Product quality and safety records).
• Respect and comply with the Health and Safety and Environmental Management standards and measures applicable to the quality checker position (Respect and comply with the Health and Safety standards and measures applicable to the quality checker position; Respect and Comply with the product safety, quality, and legality standards and measures applicable to the job position, as defined in the BRC packaging materials standard; Comply with and respect the standards established for Environmental Management: waste collection and treatment.
