Commissioning Engineers – Data Center

Job requirements:

We are looking for professionals with a minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience in facility commissioning, preferably in Data Center environments. Experience in the following specialties will be valued, and specialization in one of them will be required:

• Electrical Engineering: Experience in the commissioning of power distribution systems, UPS, generators, transformers, electrical panels, lighting systems, etc.
• Mechanical Engineering: Experience in the commissioning of HVAC systems (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), cooling systems, water systems, fire protection systems, etc.
• Controls/BMS (Building Management System) Engineering: Experience in the commissioning of building automation and control systems, system integration, PLC programming, supervision, and diagnostics.

Other requirements:

• University degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Computer Science, or similar).
• Deep knowledge of regulations and standards applicable to Data Centers (e.g., Uptime Institute, TIA-942, ASHRAE).
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Spanish (native or bilingual). Knowledge of English will be valued.
• Availability to work in Madrid.

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the correct commissioning and operation of the Data Center facilities. Your main functions will include:

• Active participation in commissioning and startup activities of the Data Center facilities, guaranteeing compliance with quality and performance standards.
• Detailed planning, coordination, and monitoring of all phases of the commissioning process, from pre-activation to final delivery.
• Rigorous supervision and execution of tests and verifications of the different systems and facilities (electrical, mechanical, control, and BMS), ensuring their correct operation and integration with each other.
• Fluid and effective coordination with the various internal technical teams, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers involved in the project.
• Proactive management and monitoring of incidents, review of associated technical documentation (plans, specifications, manuals), and analysis of test results.
• Providing specialized technical support during the different phases of the project, resolving doubts and ensuring the operability of the systems.
• Preparation of detailed reports on the status of commissioning, test results, and recommendations.
