The role
Join our team and take on a key role in ensuring that our state-of-the-art rail vehicles stop safely and efficiently. As a System Engineer for Brake Systems, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of braking systems-from initial concept to warranty phase-making a direct impact on passenger safety and operational excellence.
What you'll do
Take full engineering responsibility for brake systems, acting as the technical point of contact for project management, purchasing, customers, and other engineering units (installation, vehicle control).
Analyze customer and regulatory requirements to develop project-specific brake concepts for the subsystem "brake and air supply."
Prepare decision templates for supplier selection, considering cost, technology, and compliance.
Implement solutions in collaboration with suppliers and internal engineering teams.
Define test specifications, evaluate results, and prepare approval documentation.
Oversee technical quality gates for engineering and suppliers throughout the development process.
