Procurement Technician

• Experience: Minimum 10 years of demonstrable experience in Purchasing Technician positions.
• Sector: Consolidated experience in the Industrial sector.
• Location: Residence in Aranda de Duero or surroundings, or availability to relocate.
• Languages: Knowledge of languages, especially English, will be positively valued.
• Skills: Solid negotiation, analysis, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Excellent communication skills.
• Education: University degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or similar. Specific training in Purchasing and Logistics will be a plus.

Currently, we are looking for a Purchasing Technician with solid experience to join one of our teams in Aranda de Duero (Burgos).

You will be the person responsible for providing specialized Purchasing support to factory capital projects and will be integrated within the Projects department.

• Define, together with the Project Manager, the project's procurement and purchasing strategy, aligned with the PMF, global category strategies, and the factory's business objectives.
• Lead or coordinate tendering processes, technical-commercial evaluation, negotiation, and supplier award, ensuring transparency, competitiveness, traceability, and compliance with internal policies.
• Ensure that selected suppliers meet the applicable TPRM, quality, EHS, compliance, safety, sustainability, and contractual management requirements before the start of work.
• Ensure, in coordination with EHS and project managers, that contractors comply with occupational risk prevention requirements, coordination of business activities, work permits, and the preventive documentation required to access and execute work on plant.
• Coordinate with the responsible teams the document management of contractors on corporate platforms or equivalent systems.
• Incorporate into the procurement processes the requirements for OHS technical assistance, safety inspections, health and safety coordination, incident investigation, monitoring of deviations, and participation in safety meetings.
• Manage the commercial aspects of contracts, orders, task orders, contractual changes, and payment terms.
• Control the expenditure associated with project materials, equipment, and services, in collaboration with the Project Manager, Project Accountant, Cost Controller, and contractors.
• Identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Anticipate and manage procurement risks, including critical lead times, long lead items, supplier capacity, scope changes, supply interruptions, and material needs for commissioning.
• Ensure the issuance of periodic reports on the status of purchasing and procurement activities.
• Manage the delivery and follow-up of supplier documentation.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of CAPEX purchasing processes.
