About the role

The position is part of the Recovery and Resolution Plans Office (ORR), whose mission is to coordinate and implement the regulatory requirements defined by the European Central Bank (ECB) regarding Recovery Plans and by the Single Resolution Board (SRB) in the field of resolution planning.

The objective of the area is to strengthen the entity's resilience against potential stress or crisis scenarios, driving cross-cutting initiatives that involve different areas of the Group and ensuring compliance with the regulatory requirements established by the European supervisory authorities.

The person joining will participate in strategic projects related to banking recovery and resolution, collaborating in the coordination of initiatives, the preparation of regulatory information, and the monitoring of defined action plans.

What you'll do

The main areas of activity include:

  • Coordination of regulatory requirements related to recovery and resolution.
  • Development and monitoring of cross-cutting projects with an impact on different areas and subsidiaries of the Group.
  • Preparation and optimization of regulatory reporting addressed to the European authorities.
  • Preparation of documentation and reports for management and governance bodies.
  • Monitoring the progress of initiatives related to the entity's resilience and resolvability.

The main duties of the position include:

  • Participating in the preparation and continuous improvement of periodic resolution reporting.
  • Supporting the coordination and monitoring of regulatory projects driven by the office.
  • Collaborating in the preparation of deliverables addressed to the ECB and the SRB.
  • Preparing monitoring and reporting materials for committees and governance bodies.
  • Coordinating the collection and validation of information with the different areas involved.
  • Contributing to the identification of opportunities for improvement and efficiency in recovery and resolution processes.

What we're looking for

  • Data scientist and/or data engineer profile with a university degree in Economics, Business Administration, or Engineering.
  • Excellent written and spoken English is essential. With the ability to:
    • Draft deliverables entirely in English.
    • Comprehension in writing to interpret without difficulty documents from supervisors with detailed requirements and guidelines.
  • Knowledge and experience working with office tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) is required.
  • Knowledge of tools for data preparation, analysis, and exploitation (SAS, SQL or similar, QlikSense, Python, Google Cloud Platform Suite).
