What you'll do

The Corporate & Acquisition Finance activity in CIB is to originate, structure and execute long-term financing for Corporate Banking and International Banking clients whose usual purpose is to finance investments or acquisitions of other companies. To this end, we are organized into 3 teams divided by sector.

In collaboration with and/or reporting to an Executive Director or Team Head, the main activities and responsibilities you will assume in this position are:

  • Origination of new transactions. Participate in the development and preparation of investment ideas/opportunities, as well as preparing the necessary presentations, both internally and externally with clients, to present the idea..
  • Negotiation with clients in order to structure credit transactions so that, while meeting the Bank's risk and profitability criteria, they achieve the client's needs and the transaction's requirements.
  • Preparation of internal reports in order to submit investment proposals to the Bank's decision-making bodies. Presentation of the transaction, preparation of economic-financial analysis, description of the terms and conditions to be proposed, profitability proposal,... to be discussed with the Bank's Risk department.
  • Preparation of projections and sensitivity analyses of Companies' business plans.
  • Execution of transactions, negotiation of documentation and coordination of the different departments involved (Client/Relationship Area, Syndications, Credit Risk, Legal Advisory, Environmental Risk, Banking Services,...).
  • Participate in identifying and defining market and sector trends, new investment opportunities and ideas to develop, in order to keep the team updated and focused on the origination of financing transactions.
  • Supervision and mentoring of more junior team members.
  • Coordination and preparation of the Area's internal and external reports.
