R&D Innovation Project Manager

• Degree in Food Science and Technology, Biotechnology, or similar.

• Experience in product development within the food industry.

• Knowledge of industrial processes (mixing, roasting, grinding, etc.).

• Experience in technical-economic evaluation of products.

• Ability to connect technical vision with business impact.

• Structured, analytical, and execution-oriented mindset.

• Good command of Excel (essential).

• English is valuable in an international environment.

Calconut, an international company specializing in the trade of nuts and dried fruit, is incorporating an R&D Innovation Project Manager for its headquarters in Mutxamel (Alicante).

You will be part of a dynamic, international, and constantly growing environment, with a presence in more than 77 countries, leading innovation projects from both a technical and business perspective.

Lead the development of new products from the identification of market opportunities to their industrialization, ensuring their technical and economic viability and generating a real impact on the business.

• Support and lead the end-to-end innovation process, connecting market, development, and production to guarantee the efficient execution of new products.

• Analysis of market trends in retail and ingredients and technical benchmarking of products.

• Technical-economic viability evaluation (ingredients, processes, costs, and scalability).

• Design and development of new formulations and improvement of existing products.

• Execution and coordination of tests in the laboratory and pilot plant.

• Conducting tastings and sensory analysis for product evaluation.

• Transfer of developments to the industrial environment and validation in the factory.

• Coordination with Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Commercial areas.

• Participation in new product committees and decision-making.

• Preparation of technical reports and project monitoring.

• You do not have your own vehicle or mobility to travel.

• You are looking for a purely laboratory or basic research role: this position requires "getting your hands dirty" in the industrial plant and connecting development with the reality of the business and the market. It is not a static theoretical research position.

• You do not have more than 3 years leading end-to-end launches: we seek autonomy. We need someone who has already lived the complete journey: from the spark of an idea or a market trend, through the Excel sheets for recipes and costs, to seeing the final packaged product leaving the factory door.

• You prefer to work in isolation: here, cross-functional communication is daily. If you do not feel comfortable coordinating simultaneously with Production, Quality, Purchasing, and the Commercial team, this pace will feel overwhelming to you.
