Requirements

What we're looking for

Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace Engineering, or similar.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive R&D environments, vehicle development, aerodynamics, or validation and testing activities.
Advanced knowledge of CATIA.
Analytical capacity and experience in preparing technical documentation and reports.
High level of English (essential).
Availability for occasional travel within Europe (Germany, France, and Italy) to support testing, validation, and development activities.

The role

At Capgemini Engineering, a world leader in engineering and R&D services, we are looking to bring on an Aerodynamics Development Engineer to collaborate on a strategic project within the automotive sector, participating in the aerodynamic development of vehicles from the initial design phases through to final validation at our automotive center located in Sant Esteve de Sesrovies.

What you'll do

Analyze vehicle and wheel geometries using CATIA (and preferably ICEM Surf) to identify aerodynamic optimization opportunities.
Propose design improvements aimed at increasing the aerodynamic performance of the vehicle.
Prepare technical reports, comparisons, and recommendations for design release and performance monitoring.
Create and modify CAD models to support development and validation activities.
Participate in the design of aero-model components, manufacturing monitoring, and coordination with suppliers.
Perform benchmarking analysis of competitor vehicles and comparative aerodynamic performance studies.
Coordinate wheel and tire management for homologation activities and WLTP testing.
Prepare technical documentation and provide support for wind tunnel testing campaigns.
Maintain aerodynamic databases and participate in automation and process improvement initiatives.
Monitor the status of aerodynamic components within different vehicle programs.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and provide technical support to engineering and development teams.
