Requirements

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or similar.
  • More than 10 years of experience in aeronautical structures design (ATA 53).
  • Experience in 3D design and 2D documentation generation.
  • Knowledge of part design, assemblies, drafting, and drawing creation.
  • Experience in the design and modification of aeronautical cabin structures.
  • Knowledge of aeronautical regulations, design principles, production, and installation.
  • Ability to manage work packages autonomously.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work in demanding environments oriented towards meeting milestones and deliverables.
  • Good communication and technical coordination skills.
  • Minimum English level B2.

Nice to have

  • Experience in cabin structure redesign and the design of temporary structures associated with frames.
  • Knowledge of Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
  • Experience with CATIA V5 or CATIA V6.
  • Experience in technical coordination or leadership of design teams.
  • Previous experience in VIP or executive aircraft modification programs.
  • Experience working directly with clients in international environments.
  • Knowledge of aerospace certification processes.

The role

We are looking to hire an Aeronautical Structures Designer (ATA 53) to participate in aircraft structural modification and redesign projects, collaborating on the development of engineering solutions for cabin structures and structural support elements.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working closely with the Design, Stress, Production, Installation, and Project Management areas, contributing to the development of technical solutions that guarantee design viability, regulatory compliance, and the correct integration of modifications into the aircraft.

Initially, you will carry out your activities at the client's offices in Madrid, acquiring the necessary knowledge to evolve towards the autonomous management of complete work packages within the project.

What you'll do

  • Design aeronautical structures associated with the ATA 53 chapter.
  • Develop 3D models and 2D detailed documentation, including parts, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.
  • Participate in cabin structural redesign projects and aircraft modifications.
  • Design temporary structures and fastening elements associated with frames and existing structures.
  • Prepare and maintain technical design documentation in accordance with project requirements.
  • Guarantee compliance with aeronautical regulations and applicable design and installation requirements.
  • Coordinate activities with production, installation, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Perform technical design reviews and follow up on resulting actions.
  • Manage work packages ensuring compliance with deadlines, costs, and the quality of deliverables.
  • Collaborate in the resolution of technical issues during the design, manufacturing, and installation phases.
  • Participate in technical meetings with the client and international teams.
  • Ensure compliance with the planning associated with the different project deliverables.
