Nice to have

The role

Diamond Foundry Inc. is solving the thermal limitation at the foundation of today's most exciting tech industries -- AI & cloud compute, electric-car power electronics, and 5G/6G wireless. We have managed to produce the world's first single-crystal diamond wafers and are now on a mission to put a diamond behind every chip. We are the rare unicorn that has grown fast and profitably. We received $515m in funding and are executing a multi-$B expansion plan for one of the greenest forms of tech manufacturing: converting greenhouse gas into diamond wafers using zero-emission energy.

We are looking for equipment technicians to perform a wide range of operations to ensure the correct functioning and maintenance of our equipment dedicated to diamond production. You will work with an experienced team of process engineers and local maintenance technicians and will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers.

What you'll do

  • Preventive and corrective maintenance: Execute scheduled preventive maintenance and perform corrective interventions on complex production systems, with the aim of minimizing downtime and maximizing operational availability.

  • Troubleshooting and diagnostics: Apply a systematic approach to identify and resolve anomalous conditions in mechanical, electrical, and control systems. To do this, the technician must use schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to detect root causes and implement effective solutions.

  • System repairs and modifications: Carry out hands-on repairs, component replacement, and system upgrades on equipment that is one of a kind. It is fundamental in these tasks to ensure strict compliance with technical specifications and safety protocols.

  • Safety and regulatory compliance: Foster and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with established regulations and procedures, and assuming responsibility for the safe operational status of the assigned equipment.

  • Documentation of interventions: Meticulous recording of all interventions, system performance data, and component history, through the use of systems, maintaining a detailed and accurate record for shift handovers and engineering review.

How you'll work

This position works 12-hour shifts, 4 days on, 4 days off.
