We have a career opportunity in the role of IT Analyst for our Barcelona office, providing assistance to clients in Spain and Italy.

We are looking for a professional to provide technical support for computational engineering tools, with a primary focus on simulation environments, particularly using ANSYS.

The person will work directly on diagnosing problems, supporting users and guiding best practices for the use of computational resources, as well as contributing recommendations on hardware infrastructure to improve application performance.

We are looking for a curious, analytical person with strong problem investigation skills. The professional should be interested in understanding how high-performance applications use computational resources and how to improve their efficiency.

What you'll do

Provide technical support to users of simulation and computational engineering tools.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to running applications in Linux environments.
Analyze logs, execution errors and performance of technical applications.
Support the identification of CPU, RAM and GPU bottlenecks.
Recommend suitable hardware configurations for different types of workloads.
Support the optimization of the use of computational resources.
Document solutions and best support practices.
Provide technical support to internal and executive users.
Configure and prepare laptops and desktop computers.
Support onboarding/offboarding processes and configuration for new employees.
Provide basic support for business infrastructure (printers, access management, peripherals and workstations).

Skills & Expertise

Languages: Italian, C2 level.
Languages: English, technical and professional level.
Solid knowledge of Linux operating systems (command line, troubleshooting, services).
Experience in technical support or IT infrastructure.
Experience in configuring and supporting desktop computers, laptops and peripherals.
Ability to analyze and diagnose application issues.
Basic/intermediate knowledge of hardware architecture (CPU, RAM and GPU).
Excellent technical communication skills with users; organized and analytical profile with a focus on customer support and problem solving.
