The role

We are looking for a gardening assistant in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, responsible for providing operational support to the gardening team in the maintenance, cleaning and conservation of green areas, by carrying out basic tasks and handling manual tools, contributing to the good condition of landscaped spaces and compliance with the service's quality and sustainability standards.

What you'll do

Manual or automatic watering, lawn mowing, weeding and shrub pruning.
Cleaning up leaf litter, removing waste and maintaining work tools.
Applying basic fertilizers and plant protection products, respecting safety regulations.
Assisting in preparing the ground for planting (digging, weeding, raking).
Helping with the planting of flowers, shrubs and trees under the supervision of the responsible staff.
Taking part in basic pruning, trimming and weed removal tasks.
Carrying out manual watering in areas without automated irrigation.
Checking the operation of irrigation systems and reporting any issues.

Requirements

Required education

Intermediate or Advanced Vocational Training - Gardening vocational family and/or a course in Installation and Maintenance of Green Areas.

Required experience

6 months of experience performing duties similar to those described.

Other essential requirements

Ability to perform physical work (lifting loads), manual dexterity and the ability to work outdoors.
Valid B driver's license.
