At Flowserve, you'll find a range of options to fit your, and your family's, needs. We want to provide our team with the right resources to invest in your physical, mental and financial well-being no matter where you sit or what stage of life you're in.

The role

The Supplier Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing supplier relationships with their assigned supplier portfolio to ensure quality, cost efficiency, strategy execution and risk mitigation.

The position acts as a liaison between the suppliers they manage and the Category Management, Business Unit and Global functions as required. Uses structured processes and scorecards to monitor performance, drive improvements, coordinate strategic development, and align supplier contributions with strategic goals.

What you'll do

Key Responsibilities

Using a combination of the defined Supplier Plans provided by the Category Management team, structured processes and scorecards available as well as inputs and escalations received from various internal stakeholders, the Supplier Manager is accountable for:

Supplier Strategy Planning & Execution

  • Develop and execute supplier plans jointly with Category Management and Business Unit teams, ensuring alignment with category strategies and strategic business priorities.
  • Monitor supplier spend, performance, and contractual compliance; identify opportunities to optimise supplier segmentation, consolidate spend, and strengthen supplier relationships through regular business reviews.
  • Drive strategic supplier-development initiatives in collaboration with Supplier Quality and Supplier Development teams.

Supplier Health Management

  • Manage supplier relationships, performance, and continuous-improvement initiatives through regular engagement, clear communication, and effective stakeholder management.
  • Monitor and address supplier performance related to competitiveness, delivery, quality, cost of poor quality (COPQ), capacity, and overall supply risk.
  • Coordinate risk mitigation and escalation activities with suppliers, Supplier Quality, and Supplier Development, including identifying alternatives for potential capacity bottlenecks.

Operational Support

  • Coordinate supplier escalations with site and business-unit leadership, ensuring timely issue resolution through the appropriate escalation channels and global resources.
  • Ensure business continuity and supplier responsiveness by maintaining alignment between business-unit requirements and supplier commitments.
  • Establish and maintain structured governance for shared suppliers, including compliance with agreed terms and follow-up of escalated actions from Management Operating Reviews (MORs).

How you'll work

Please note that the role required travels up to approximately 75%, within Spain and across the EMEA region.
