About the role

We are looking for a driven Business Development Manager (Partnerships) to lead partnership growth for Frekuent, opening new verticals and distribution channels through strategic allies. You will work on two fronts: building new business lines in complementary verticals (mobility, tourism, stadiums & events, among others) and expanding new distribution channels (manufacturers, ERPs, telecom operators, banks).

Every partnership moves through three stages: partner acquisition, structuring of the business model and agreement, and market launch. Once validated, if a partnership shows strong replicability it transitions into regular business operations; if replicability is still low or under validation, you'll continue managing it until it reaches the necessary maturity.

You'll lead the acquisition of new partners, negotiate agreements with prospective allies, and design the business model behind each new vertical or channel.

What you'll do

Partnership Development

• Identify and prospect potential partners within the strategic verticals defined by the company (mobility, tourism, stadiums & events, manufacturers, ERPs, telecom, banking, among others)

• Lead the acquisition process end-to-end: first contact, value proposition presentation, and negotiation of terms

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at partner organizations

• Act as “eyes on the market,” sharing insights and spotting trends, new opportunities, and gaps with Product, Marketing and Leadership

Deal Structuring and Execution

• Design and propose the business model and deal structure (commercial, legal and operational) for each partnership

• Build business cases and market and financial viability analyses for each opportunity

• Coordinate with Legal and internal stakeholders to close agreements

• Track the partnership pipeline and report progress to Leadership

• Collaborate with the wider team (Account Managers and Presales Engineers) to ensure a smooth handover of each partnership from acquisition through to structuring

How you'll work

Location: Barcelona (Hybrid) Type: Full-time

Requirements

What we're looking for

• 3–5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, complex B2B sales or strategy consulting

• Strong negotiation and deal-closing skills

• Analytical mindset for designing and evaluating business models

• Autonomous and proactive in generating new opportunities

• Excellent communication and presentation skills with senior stakeholders

Nice to have

• Previous experience in partnerships, strategic alliances or indirect channel

• Knowledge of retail, payments, point-of-sale or commerce technology

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or similar; MBA is a plus

• Network of contacts in one of our target verticals (mobility, tourism, events, banking, telco)

• Previous experience in startup or scale-up environments

Languages

• Languages: Spanish (native or C2) and English (advanced)
