The role

With 500+ clients across five countries and more signing every month, every new merchant has to get from "contract signed" to "live and taking payments" quickly - and fully compliant. That journey runs through Sales Ops and KYC, and as volume grows we need someone dedicated to keeping each onboarding moving between the two, so no merchant gets stuck waiting on a document, a device or a reply.

You'll run your own set of onboardings day-to-day, with clear processes to follow and experienced teammates in Sales Ops and KYC to learn from and escalate to. It's a hands-on way to learn how a regulated payments company brings merchants on board end to end - and, as you ramp up, to help shape how we do it at scale.

What you'll do

  • Manage a portfolio of new merchant onboardings, from signed contract to their first day live on Frekuent, keeping deadlines and SLAs on track.

  • Be the merchant's day-to-day contact during onboarding: explain what we need, chase what's missing and keep them updated on next steps.

  • Collect and review merchant (KYB/KYC) documentation for completeness and consistency, flagging gaps or red flags to the KYC team before approval.

  • Keep contracts and CRM records accurate and up to date at every stage of the onboarding.

  • Set merchants up on our platform - devices, dashboards and access to our BI tool - and handle device transfers between merchants.

  • Coordinate training and setup sessions with Support, and keep Sales, KYC, Support and our payment partners aligned on each onboarding's status.

  • Track where merchants get stuck and propose small, testable improvements to the onboarding flow and its documentation.

How you'll work

Location: Barcelona (Hybrid) · Type: Full-time

How we work

  • Fast, autonomous, low-bureaucracy.

  • We measure output, not hours in a chair.

  • Resilience means iterating until it works - not giving up early.

In their own words

About the company & team

Started in 2016, Frekuent is now the all-in-one payment and loyalty platform for unattended environments - 500+ clients, 100M+ transactions a year, 2.5M+ users across Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, and Singapore. We turn one-time buyers into lifetime clients with cashless, contactless, effortless payments: less friction, more reasons to come back.

2026 has been our biggest year yet - we've hyperscaled from 40 to 100+ people, with more hires on the way, and closed a €6M funding round to fuel what's next.

And we're just getting started - our goal is to become the default payment and loyalty layer behind every unattended transaction, everywhere.
