Laboratory Technician - Animal Facility

Compliance with requirements and/or merits must be justified through the performance of assessment tests and/or by attaching the necessary documentation in the "Annexes" section of the registration questionnaire. • From 3 months to 1 year of experience in Animal Care and handling (academic and/or employment contract experience)
• From 3 months to 1 year of experience in Cleaning of facilities and animal housing (academic and/or employment contract experience)
• From 3 months to 1 year of experience in Animal Facilities (facilities with biosafety levels) (academic and/or employment contract experience)
• From 3 months to 1 year of experience in Animal health laboratories under the 17.025 testing laboratory standard (academic and/or employment contract experience) (this will be verified during technical assessment)
• From 3 months to 1 year of experience in Disease diagnostic techniques (academic and/or employment contract experience)
• From 3 months to 1 year of experience in Preparation of culture media, diagnostic reagents, or reference material (academic and/or employment contract experience)

• Training in animal experimentation in Function A (Animal Care) and Function B (Animal Euthanasia)

• Possess an official Vocational Training II degree or Higher Level Vocational Training degree in the professional families of Health, Chemistry, Food Industries, Safety and Environment, Agricultural and/or Maritime-fishery (degree officially recognized in Spain).

Laboratory Technician - Animal Facility (Madrid)

• Maintenance of animals and facilities, feeding and hygiene, and cleaning and warehouse tasks in facilities with biosafety levels 2 and 3
• Monitoring of animal welfare and sanitary status
• Sample collection and assistance to the veterinarian during procedures
• Performance of diagnostic techniques, sample processing, preparation of culture media, and management of reference material if applicable
• Support in other horizontal laboratory tasks: registration, washing, quality according to Standard 17.025, equipment calibration and/or warehouse

• We offer:
  
  - Fixed-term contract for substitution with an estimated duration of 12 months, depending on the underlying cause.
  
  - Full-time schedule of 37.50 hours per week. Rotating work on weekends, normally one every month. Contract from Monday to Sunday.
