Requirements

What we're looking for

Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in machinery manufacturers, industrial automation companies, or capital goods companies.
Having assumed responsibility over several technical areas and over the execution of projects.
Training in industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineering, automation, or an equivalent technical career path.
Advanced level of English, both spoken and written.
Technical judgment to understand the problems of the different specialties, evaluate alternatives, and coordinate solutions.
Ability to plan resources, manage several jobs simultaneously, and make decisions.
Close leadership: knowing how to listen, generate trust, address difficulties, and keep priorities and responsibilities clear.
Ability to build a team and work in a coordinated manner with the Commercial Management and other areas of the organization.

Nice to have

Experience in the manufacturing, assembly, and commissioning of machinery.
Proficiency in planning tools, project monitoring, and ERP.
Experience introducing practical improvements in the organization and coordination of teams.
Knowledge of other languages.

The role

At Gurpea, we are looking for a person to lead and coordinate the operational activity at our Galar headquarters: mechanical and electrical engineering, programming, workshop, and assembly.

They will share management with the Commercial Management, assuming the organization and execution of the work, in coordination with the Group Management.

We are looking for a person who gets involved in the day-to-day, knows the teams, and ensures that the different areas work in a coordinated manner.

What you'll do

Lead and support the engineering, programming, workshop, and assembly teams, promoting communication and collaboration between areas.
Organize the workload and resources, establishing clear priorities and a common plan.
Perform daily monitoring of projects, detecting blockages and helping to resolve them.
Coordinate the execution of work from engineering through to assembly and commissioning.
Control deadlines, hours, costs, and quality of execution, anticipating deviations and taking measures to correct them.
Coordinate with the Commercial Management to adjust client commitments to execution capacity and manage changes in scope or priorities.
Collaborate with the Service Manager when interventions require support from engineering, programming, or assembly.
Keep the Group Management informed about the progress of the work and resource needs.
