About the role

Within the framework of the Data Analytics Project that Hispasat is launching, it is necessary to incorporate a support scholarship in Data Analytics and Business Intelligence. This profile will provide support to the technical and business team in low-criticality tasks, always supervised, contributing to the end-to-end data cycle described in the project: from ingestion, normalization, and modeling, to the construction of dashboards in Power BI, following the corporate standards of Fabric, Lakehouse, and data governance.

The main objective of this scholarship is to develop junior talent, support day-to-day operations, and enable the technical team to advance more quickly on the milestones described in the project, without assuming critical responsibilities or replacing professional roles.

What you'll do

The scholarship holder will be part of the analytics and BI team, providing cross-functional support especially in:

  • Information organization.
  • Functional/technical documentation.
  • Preparation of simple artifacts within Microsoft Fabric (always supervised).
  • Construction of basic dashboard elements in Power BI.
  • Monitoring of the E2E flow of the project described in the document: request → review → development → testing → documentation → support.
  • Support in administrative project tasks and change management.

The scholarship holder will support, without direct responsibility for:

  • Lakehouse / Microsoft Fabric (supervised)
    • Preparation of documentation on workspaces, pipelines, and dataflows used in projects.
    • Organization of assets and folders within the Fabric environment.
  • Ingestion and normalization (Bronze → Silver)
    • Assistance in reviewing documentation of sources and quality rules applied in data normalization.
    • Basic support in simple transformation tasks with Power Query (Dataflows Gen2).
  • Modeling for consumption (Gold)
    • Support in maintaining data dictionaries and documenting the semantic model in preparation for dashboards.
  • Dashboards in Power BI
    • Creation of simple visualizations following the corporate library and informational standards.
    • Preparation of initial report versions for review by analysts.
  • Data governance and security
    • Documentary support in RACI matrices, governance checklists, and GDPR/LOPDGDD compliance for the project.
    • Management of requests and catalog
