What we're looking for
Academic Training, Technical Competencies, and Job Requirements
- Professional certification as a Higher Technician in Safety - mandatory factor;
- Availability to be on-site 100% of the time, throughout Spain - mandatory factor.
- Valid trainer title;
- Demonstrated training and/or experience in a construction environment, preferably in mechanical specialties;
- Solid knowledge of health and safety legislation;
- Knowledge and experience in work teams - RD 1215;
- Proficiency in IT tools (MS Office - Word, Excel, and PPT);
- Experience in document management, inspections, compliance controls, and subcontractor supervision;
- Communication and teamwork skills;
- Sense of responsibility, rigor, and proactivity;
- Proficiency in Spanish and English;
- Training and/or experience in construction works, especially in the areas of environment, waste, spill control, water, and soil;
- Knowledge of applicable environmental legislation, including waste management, emissions, effluents, and noise;
The role
To guarantee that the works assigned to the company are executed under the safety, health, and environmental protection conditions required by legislation and corporate requirements. To this end, they supervise and verify preventive and environmental compliance on-site, including that of subcontractors, and manage the associated documentation. They also promote a culture of prevention and continuous improvement that protects people and the environment, supported by ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 management systems.
What you'll do
- Daily monitoring of health and safety conditions on-site;
- Verification of compliance with the measures provided for in the Health and Safety Plan (HSP) and internal procedures;
- Conducting safety inspections, internal audits, and identification of non-conformities;
- Preparation and updating of safety reports, inspection records, and corrective action plans;
- Documentary control of subcontractors, self-employed workers, and work teams;
- Participation in the implementation of preventive measures and coordination between subcontractors;
- Conducting safety briefing sessions, internal training, and welcoming new workers to the site;
- Emergency management, incident monitoring, and investigation of occupational accidents;
- Verification of compliance with site organization rules, circulation, signage, and personal and collective protective equipment;
- Promotion of a safety culture, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and best practices;
- Execution of on-site environmental inspections, in accordance with monitoring plans and applicable legal requirements;
- Verification of compliance with environmental procedures and best practices defined for different specialties: mechanical;
- Completing the respective environmental plans and checklists according to the checks performed;
- Supervision of the correct implementation of the measures provided for in the Environmental Management Plan and the Waste Prevention and Management Plan - waste collection; separation and deposition in the indicated place;
- Support in the management of environmental documents (safety data sheets, records, photographic evidence, etc.);
- Environmental awareness and training for workers on-site;
- Supervision of environmental emergency situations and participation in incident investigation.
