Safety and Health Technician

Mission:

  • Ensure proper implementation at the Plant of Health and Safety programs, including proposing viable corrective measures for continuous improvement in accordance with Group Policies.

What you'll do

Tasks:

  • Ensure the safety of all Plant personnel through compliance with defined procedures and technical instructions.
  • Maintain the Risk Assessment program for all positions and tasks at the Plant.
  • Supervise safety tasks to ensure the plant's safety system operates correctly.
  • Maintain the Occupational Health and Safety Plan, encouraging the implementation of relevant corrective measures across departments and including new risks in the risk assessment process.
  • Participate in the Health Safety Committee.
  • Participate in the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment Management Committees.
  • Conduct daily plant inspections to verify compliance with safety and environmental standards, as well as best practices.
  • Enforce compliance with the management system.
  • Ensure all Plant safety equipment is in a constant state of readiness and oversee its preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain records of all incidents or accidents related to health, safety, or the environment.
  • Lead the investigation of such incidents and monitor the implementation of appropriate corrective measures.
