About the role

Elite Challenge: Are you a Senior Java Developer ready to revolutionize mission-critical systems?

Your Role and Mission at the Company

At Initium Software, we are not a traditional consultancy; we are strategic partners who believe in real impact through technology. We connect the best technical talent with the most challenging and innovative projects in the market.

We are looking for an elite Senior Java Developer / Support Analyst. Your mission will be to lead stability, diagnosis, and resolution of complex failures in distributed microservices architectures within the financial portfolio of one of our most important clients. This is not about monotonously maintaining code, but about being the key piece that ensures high availability of critical systems through cutting-edge support engineering (L2/L3).

What you'll do

Your Mission (High-Impact Challenges)

Ensure high availability: Provide L2/L3 level support for microservices developed in Java/Spring Boot and REST API integrations.

Advanced environment diagnostics: Detect and resolve execution failures in distributed architectures across cloud and on-premise ecosystems (AWS, IBM Cloud, WebSphere, Docker/Kubernetes).

Data flow optimization: Resolve incidents in high-traffic enterprise messaging systems, managing concurrency, performance, and lag in Apache Kafka and IBM MQ.

Adaptive software engineering: Implement code-level fixes, refactoring, and test coverage improvements for legacy Java services.

Intelligent monitoring and automation: Contribute to shift-left automation initiatives, creation of self-healing scripts, and optimization of observability alerts using ELK Stack or Splunk.

What you'll get

What do we offer you?

Compensation: Competitive fixed salary aligned with your expert level.

Location: Work based at the client's Madrid offices within a dynamic, high-level corporate ecosystem.

High-performance environment: A space where your initiative is valued, your impact is recognized, and your professional growth is genuinely supported.

Initium Culture: A model based on autonomy, collaboration, dynamism, and continuous learning, far removed from traditional rigid structures.

Let's talk about the future!

At Initium, we don't just develop technology: we create an environment where people can evolve, add value, and leave their mark. If you're looking for a place where your code and problem-solving skills have a real impact on large-scale financial systems, we want to meet you.

Apply now by sending your CV. Let's talk!
