At The Whiteam Consulting we are looking for a Senior Backend Developer with solid experience in Java, Spring Boot and Spring Batch, to participate in a strategic technological transformation initiative oriented towards the modernization of Mainframe systems.

The selected person will work on the migration and evolution of critical processes from COBOL environments towards modern architectures based on Java, using advanced methodologies of automation, testing, and development assisted by Artificial Intelligence.

We are looking for a profile with the capacity to understand complex legacy systems, design modern solutions, and actively participate in the construction of AI tools and agents applied to the software development life cycle (SDLC).

• Analyze COBOL programs and JCL flows, understanding dependencies, functional logic, and batch processes.

• Design and implement target architectures based on:

  • Java

  • Spring Boot

  • Spring Batch

• Define:

  • Jobs

  • Steps

  • Readers & Writers

  • Chunk Processing

  • Restart strategies

  • Error management and return codes

• Elaborate and maintain specifications using Spec-Driven Development approaches.
