Steel Structure Calculation Engineer

At Grupo INVOIN, we are looking to hire Steel Structure Calculation Engineers to participate in an important industrial engineering project, focused on the calculation and design of steel structures associated with WTE (Waste to Energy) process trains.

We are looking for professionals with experience in structural calculation of industrial steel structures, capable of developing calculation models, reports, connections, and anchor plates, as well as analyzing structures during their different temporary assembly phases. Proficiency in Dlubal RFEM 6 will play a fundamental role in the development of the project.

• Perform the calculation of steel structures corresponding to WTE process trains.
• Develop and maintain structural calculation models using Dlubal RFEM 6.
• Prepare and issue calculation reports associated with the developed structures.
• Prepare calculation appendices from the structural analysis software.
• Develop and deliver calculation models in editable Dlubal format, guaranteeing the traceability and correct documentation of the analyses performed.
• Calculate anchor plates and steel connections using IDEA StatiCa or equivalent tools.
• Perform temporary calculations of the structures, considering the different assembly phases and the parts or equipment that must be installed.
• Issue material measurements necessary for the subsequent fabrication of the structures.
• Review and respond to technical comments during the different review and approval phases of the documentation.
• Coordinate with the project technical team, working according to their planning, engineering criteria, and validation processes.

Job Offer: Steel Structure Calculation Engineer

• Education and Experience:
  • Technical education related to Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Structures or related specialties.
  • Experience in steel structure calculation for industrial process trains or projects of similar characteristics.
  • Experience in WTE (Waste to Energy), refineries, turbines, pipe racks, process structures, and industrial equipment support structures will be especially valued.
  • Middle and Senior level profiles are considered, adjusting the level of responsibility to the experience provided.
• Software and Technical Knowledge:
  • Dlubal RFEM 6: required tool for the development of the project's calculation models.
  • In case of not having previous experience with Dlubal RFEM 6, it will be necessary to have the capacity to learn its use and acquire sufficient autonomy to advance with guarantees during the project.
  • Proficiency in IDEA StatiCa or equivalent software for the calculation of steel connections and anchor plates.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD to perform adjustments, checks, or assemblies when necessary.
  • Experience in the preparation of structural calculation reports and appendices.
  • Knowledge for the analysis of temporary situations and assembly phases of steel structures.
• Languages:
  • English: necessary during the approval phase of the documentation and as the main language for resolving doubts and communicating with the client.
  • French: necessary for the final delivery of documentation.
  • It will be necessary to be able to use both languages to issue technical documentation, review and respond to comments, with the possibility of using translation tools for support.
• Personal competencies:
  • Analytical skills and an orientation toward structural calculation.
  • Technical rigor in the preparation and review of documentation.
  • Autonomy in the development of structural models and calculations.
  • Adaptability to new tools and working methodologies.
  • Organization and meeting of deadlines and deliverables.
  • Teamwork skills within multidisciplinary engineering environments.
