Structural Calculation Engineer

What will you do?

· Design and calculation of steel, space, and timber structures.

· Structural modeling and analysis using finite element method (FEM).

· Structural and technical-economic optimization of solutions.

· Development of solutions for fabrication and assembly.

· Preparation of calculation reports and technical documentation.

· Technical coordination with architecture, clients, fabrication, and assembly teams.

· Development of automation and parameterization tools.

· Participation in R&D&I projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

We are looking for a structural engineer with a solid background in steel structure calculation and a passion for technological innovation.

We will especially value candidates interested in parametric design, process automation, and the development of digital tools that make it possible to optimize the design, fabrication, and assembly of bespoke structures.

Experience

· More than 5 years of experience in structural calculation.

· Experience with steel structures.

· Experience participating from the conceptual phase through to execution.

Technical skills

· Proficiency in SAP2000.

· Knowledge of Eurocodes.

· Finite element modeling (FEM).

· Design and calculation of steel structures.

Skills

· Analytical skills and structural judgment.

· Initiative and a focus on continuous improvement.

· Interest in technological innovation.

· Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

· Ability to solve complex problems.

· Experience with space structures, lightweight roofs, or glued laminated timber is a plus.

· Knowledge of Rhino, Grasshopper, IDEA StatiCa, Tekla Structures, Autodesk Revit, Robot Structural Analysis, Dynamo, Python, and parametric design and BIM interoperability tools will be valued.

Education

· Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil, Industrial, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (Ingeniería de Caminos).

· Architecture with a specialization in structures will also be considered.

· English level B2/C1.

The position is based at our offices in Donostia-San Sebastián. ¿Qué harás?

· Diseño y cálculo de estructuras metálicas, espaciales y de madera.

· Modelización y análisis estructural mediante elementos finitos (FEM).

¿Qué buscamos?

Buscamos un ingeniero estructural con una sólida base en cálculo de estructuras metálicas y vocación por la innovación tecnológica.

Valoraremos especialmente candidatos interesados en el diseño paramétrico, la automatización de procesos y el desarrollo de herramientas digitales que permitan optimizar el diseño, la fabricación y el montaje de estructuras singulares.

¿Qué hace diferente este puesto?

En ONDDI no buscamos únicamente un calculista. Buscamos ingenieros capaces de cuestionar las soluciones convencionales, desarrollar nuevas herramientas y participar activamente en la evolución de nuestra forma de diseñar, calcular y fabricar estructuras. Tendrás la oportunidad de combinar ingeniería estructural, diseño computacional y automatización para desarrollar soluciones que posteriormente se construyen en proyectos reales de gran complejidad. 

Experiencia

· Más de 5 años de experiencia en cálculo estructural.

· Experiencia en estructuras metálicas.

· Experiencia participando desde la fase conceptual hasta la ejecución.

Conocimientos técnicos

· Dominio de SAP2000.
