What we're looking for

  • Solid experience developing reports and dashboards with IBM Cognos Analytics and/or Cognos Report Studio.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, including:
  • Complex joins and subqueries.
  • Aggregations and analytical functions.
  • Query optimization and performance improvement.
  • Database views and stored procedures.
  • Experience in the design and maintenance of data models for reporting.
  • Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, or Teradata.
  • Experience working directly with business users to define functional requirements.
  • Knowledge of Data Warehouse and dimensional modeling.
  • Analytical capacity, diagnosis, and problem-solving.
  • Experience in testing, validation, and support of reports in production environments.

The role

We are looking for a Mid-Level Software Engineer specializing in IBM Cognos to join a technological project with a remote work modality.

📍 Location: Spain (preferably Madrid)

📅 Start Date: ASAP

What you'll do

  • Develop IBM Cognos reports and files necessary for the management and exploitation of financial data (Subledger).
  • Participate in deployment, validation, and preparation activities for solutions to be put into production.
  • Analyze and resolve incidents related to reports and reporting processes.
  • Guarantee the quality, accuracy, and performance of the developed reports.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and business users to identify needs and define reporting requirements.
  • Perform testing and validations, as well as provide support during the production phase.
